Action (Hyperlink) Properties


This dialog lets you specify the behaviour of an action (hyperlink).

 

Select Action

This selection determines what type of action should be used.

No Action

Results in no action. The link will be removed.

Go to fixed document

Navigates to the document selected. The selection is made through the Select Document Dialog.

Go to current document

Navigates to the same document from where the Action is executed. This choice can be used to jump to a certain section in the document by using a bookmark.

Go to parent

Navigates to the parent document, one step up.

Go to previous sibling

Navigates to the previous page on the same level.

Go to next sibling

Navigates to the next page on the same level.

Go to first child

Navigates to the first child of the same level, used for making loops.

Open resource

Navigates to the selected resource. The selection is made through the Select Resource Dialog which is opened by clicking the "..."-button. The behaviour of this action is varying depending on the type of resource.

Friend URL

Navigates to an URL selected from the external friend sites. The selection is made through the Friend Sites Dialog which is opened by clicking the "..."-button.

External URL

Navigates to the URL specified in the Exernal URL-field below. This option is also used for creating mail-links. Mail-links are created using the format mailto:support@effectivestudios.com.

Bookmark position within document

(optional) If this field is filled in, the navigation will be made to an anchor in the target location. This is normally used for scrolling down to a specified location within a document.

Open in new window

If selected, the action will open a new window and navigate to the specified location. The settings for the new window can be altered in the New Window Attributes Dialog.

 


New Window Attributes

Position & Size

Choose between Default and Custom settings

Left

Indicates the distance in pixels from the left of the screen to the window.

Top

Indicates the distance in pixels from the top of the screen to the window.

Width

Indicates the width of the new window in pixels.

Height

Indicates the height of the new window in pixels.

Resizable window

Indicates wheter the window should be resizable or not.

Directory button

Indicates wheter to show the directory section or not.

Location text field

Indicates whether to show the location text field or not.

Menubar

Indicates whether to show the menubar or not.

Scrollbars

Indicates whether to enable scrollbars or not.

Statusbar

Indicates whether to show the statusbar or not.

Toolbar

Indicates whether to show the toolbar or not.

Copy history to the new window

Indicates whether to copy the history to the new window or not.

Window name

This is the reference to the window. If different actions use the same name. The navigation will not open a new window if it already has been opened.

 


Select Document

 

Navigate to a document and click OK to select it.
