MenuThis dialog is used by components creating menus. By filling selecting different ways of filling the menu, the component will contain various items. Menu Filling Options Tab
Fill the menu with...:This is where you select how to fill your menu. Possible selections are: Children to a selected documentCreates the menu using the children to a specified document. The document is selected by clicking the Select Button which will open a dialog for selecting a document. Children to current documentCreates the menu using the children of the current document. The current document will depend on which document is used. This allows for a dynamic way to use menus, since the same menu component will look different for each document. Children to document at specified level in current document pathThe menu will be filled with the document structure from the start level (specified in the edit field) and below in relation to the current document. The Root of the Content Tree is regarded as level 1.
This filling option is very useful when creating sub menus which can be used by all documents, but only displays something when there actually exists children to the current document. Siblings to current documentCreates a menu containing all siblings (documents at the same level) to the current document, with the option of including the current one too. Siblings to parent of current documentThis works the same way as the previous one, but instead of using the current document, its parent is used. Path to current documentThis filling option creates a menu containing all parents to the current document up to, but not including the Content Root. An option of including the current document to the list is also available. Related documents to current documentCreates a menu using the list of related documents associated with the current document. This is very useful when creating "see also"-menus. Documents in a selected document groupUses the documents in a document group to create the menu. The document group used is selected by picking one from the drop-down list. If no document groups have been created for this project, this method can not be used. Text on main menu itemsThis field determines which text that will appear on the menu items. Any strings including fields can be used. The default value is {Document Title} which will result in each menu item having the title of itself as the text. Text on sub menu itemsThis field determines which text that will appear on the menu items below the top level. Any strings including fields can be used. The default value is {Document Title} which will result in each menu item having the title of itself as the text.
