Components are the building blocks of layouts in Site Studio. A component can perform different tasks depending on its type and purpose, but the main objective of most components is to render HTML for the web pages.

 

A component is recognized by the red title bar containing the name of it and the red border surrounding it (see image below).

To be able to behave in different ways, a component uses information from the user and settings from the Site Studio project, which it then can use when performing it's task. The properties for the component is displayed in a property list (see image below). Read more about the component properties here.
