1. Creating a Project

Creating a new web site project is a simple task. Start by clicking the "New Project based on concept template" button on the main menu (as shown below). The button will be activated immediately when the program starts. When a project is open the button will be disabled until the project is closed, since only one project can be open at the same time.

The "New Project based on concept template" button.

Another option is to use the "New Project..." option from the File menu.

Click the "New Project based on concept template" button

This brings up the New Project based on concept template Wizard. The wizard contains two steps for building a web site. The first step is to select a project among the concept templates. The project templates are pre-made professional looking web sites, which new projects can be based on.

Select the Business 1 concept template (located on the Business Tab)

The concept template Business 1 has now been choosen as the base for the new project.

Click the "Next" button to go to Step 2.

The location of the project files are shown in the location field. When installing Site Studio the default location points to "My documents". As shown above the location can be changed to any directory.

Note! The directory must already exists, Site Studio will not create it. Site Studio only creates the directory structure for the files contained in the project (eg. the Alpha sub directory)

In this tutorial just leave the location field to its default value.

Fill out the form as shown above

Now the two steps are completed!

Click the "Finish"-button to create the new project.
