Layout Editing

The different layouts on your web site are displayed and easily accessed through the Layout List on the left-hand side in the layout view.

Click the Edit button to start editing the layout.

View mode

When a layout is selected from the list, it is displayed in view mode in the main window.

The Edit button

Above the display of the layout there is an "Edit"-button, which when clicked puts the layout in edit mode and let's you modify that layout.

Edit mode

When in edit mode, the menu above the display window is changed and now contains buttons for formatting text and images. It also contains a "Save"- and a "Cancel"-button.

The Save button

The "Save"-button saves the layout and returns the layout to the view mode.

The Cancel button

The "Cancel"-button also returns the layout to view mode, but without saving, and all changes will be ignored. Before doing this the Site Studio will have you confirm this, to make sure that you do not lose any work by mistake.

Components

Components appear in the layout view as red boxes with a title bar. When this box is selected, the properties for that component is shown to the right.

Formatting

Formatting works basically the same way as in document mode. The major exception is that in layout mode, you are able to use boxes. Read more about boxes.
