10. Making hyperlinksAll navigation between web pages is done using hyperlinks. The hyperlinks can be created implicitly as is the case for menus or they can be created explicitly (eg. manually).
Since implicitly created links are created automatically, there no need to discuss them (later, however, components will be discussed).
Hyperlinks are created when placing an action on a piece of text. The text becomes a hyperlink which the user can click on to perform some action, such as navigation to a new page.
An action can't be used by itself. It must be applied to a piece of content.
Now try to make a hyperlink.
Start editing the Welcome page
The action button, which is located on the toolbar
Select the bold text "mathematical analysis" and click the action button
Make a hyperlink to the Products page as shown below
Note! You can also right-click and select Insert/Action...
The Action Properties Dialog is shown. Now select Go to fixed document in the Select Action drop-down box. Then click the Select... button.
Select Products in the Select Document Dialog.
Close the dialogs by clicking OK in both of them.
The text "Mathematical Analysis" is now a hyperlink.
Note! To change the action, right-click on the hyperlink while in edit mode and select Action properties...
Read about the other types of actions here.
