Selections while editingUnderstanding how to select content simplifies life while editing. Site Studio has two types of selection modes; text selection and control selection.
Before we continue let us describe the cursor and the caret. The cursor as you know is usually the arrow which is controlled by mouse movements. The caret is the insertion point where new characters are inserted while typing the keyboard. The caret can be moved to a new position by using the cursor and clicking a mouse button or by using the keyboard. Text SelectionText can be selected continuosly. However, if the text selection contains element which can't be treated as text, delete and insert functions will not behave as they would have if there was only text in the selection. Control SelectionA control is selected by clicking on its border. Depending on the type of control being selected, the border might not be visible. However, all controls have one determining the boundaries of the control.
When selecting a control, it has two modes. One which allows you to drag the component (Control Selection Mode) and one where you are able to edit the contents of it (Control Selection Edit Mode). You switch between the two modes by clicking the border of the control.
