Site Studio Concepts

To fully be able to explore the possibilities in Site Studio, an understanding of the fundamentals of the program, and how the different parts interact, is needed.

The fundamentals

A final page on your web site is composed of its content and a graphical layout. As when a newspaper is created a journalist enters the text for an article (the content) and a graphical designer inserts the text (eg. creating the layout) onto the final page. Site Studio works in with the same concept.

The content is edited in content view and layouts are created in layout view.

Switch between the content view and the layout view by clicking on the appropriate tab.

Usually you'll be spending most time in content view, adding content to your web site.

For each document (content) you can select which layout to use when creating the final web page. It's easy to change the assigned layouts for a documents and thereby changing the entire look and feel of your web site.

With an understanding of these basic principles, you will have an easier time creating your own web sites!
